Smiles

Yesterday I noticed that Rachel was smiling on her own and it wasn't just because of gas! She's starting to smile because she's happy and I'm thrilled for this improvement. So far she does make several different facial expressions, but none seem to match how she's feeling, except for her crying face. The smiles don't last long, so I've been unable to capture them with the camera, but as soon as  I can I'll post a picture of her smile. (A real smile, not just one in her sleep).

She's still not on a "regular" schedule just yet, which is okay. The only thing we're seeing with any regularity is when she's hungry. She's still eating every 3 hours, but can go as long as 5 sometimes. It's her sleep patterns that are so odd. Some days it seems she's up for the full 24 hours and other days it seems like she's only awake long enough to eat. For the past few days she's been on a kick where she'll sleep for an hour then be up for about 3 or 4 hours. It's so odd! But Jason and I have managed to work out sleep schedules where we both can sleep for at least 4 hours at a time before taking over to care for her.

Most of the pictures uploaded were taken while she was playing and I was trying to capture as many facial expressions as possible. Hence why there are so many. I can't help but try to capture as much of her as I can! Now I just need to figure out how to get videos to upload on this blog....still working on it!
