It's Girl's night! That's right, daddy's off doing stuff with a friend of his tonight, so my favorite baby and I are hanging out. Tonight is the first night in 3 whole weeks that she's been pleasant and not fussy. I can tell her sniffles are starting to get better. I thought she'd be sick forever! I'm not kidding, this morning she could hardly breathe, then tonight wihle I was talking to the lady at day care I could still hear her congestion. Suddenly at home tonight she seems better. Weird!
The last two nights she's been up nearly every hour, on the hour. Daddy had to go into work this week, so Mommy stayed up with her as she pulled this awful stunt. I pray that tonight she sleeps for at least 4 hours in a row. Mommy can't handle another night without good sleep!!
So since it's just the two of us, I decided to play dress up a bit. She doesn't like it much, so I'm normally only able to get her into two different outfits. Tonight we finally were able to try on a special outfit that her Aunt Arlene had made for her:
It's this sweet little sun dress that has her name embroidered on it in blue. It ties with ribbons on top of her shoulders and it absolutely adorable! (Even if it is Air Force Camo!)
This next picture is of a cute outfit (and I can't remember where it came from!! Ginny, I think this was a present from you):
Look at that happy girl in her popsicle dress!
Another activity for this evening:
TUMMY TIME!!
Check out this kid. 3 weeks ago she wouldn't lift her head more than an inch off of the floor. She looks like a proper boat now! When we lay her on her tummy next to us on the couch, she will roll over. She's so close! But not quite yet.
Today at day care they made a little paper with her hand print for Mother's Day. My first mother's day present. I almost cried I was so excited about it when I went to pick her up. However, I held myself together and was touched when Jason put it on the fridge for me. Apparently she wouldn't hold still, so her hand print actually has 6 fingers. Still....it's adorable and I appreciate that they do stuff like that there.
One new development she just started in the past week or two is holding her hand out to my face. She likes it when I kiss her palm and make it really loud. She only remembers when she has her hand out anyway, but after one big kiss, she'll keep hre hand out for another one.
She can also bring her hands together to hold objects, but she doesn't reach out for them on her own just yet. Not unless they're in her lap. Still, it's a development.
